Fund Development at MPA All independent schools rely on parents, faculty, board members and friends to lend their support though contributions and gifts of time and talent. Montessori Private Academy is no exception. Why is Fund Development important? As with most private schools, tuition does not cover the complete cost of operating the school. Money raised from development covers about 3% of our annual budget. This 3% bridges the gap between tuition revenue and general operating expenses. What does the money cover? All MPA students and staff benefit from Annual Fund donations and net dollars generated from special activities such as product sales, read-a-thons and "Clip, Click and Shop" opportunities such as Box Tops for Education, Good Search, Target Take Charge of Education, etc. A full enrichment curriculm (Spanish, P.E. and Music,) authentic classroom Montessori materials, teacher training, student financial assistance and much more are available to MPA students, this year, because of our fund development efforts.
Legacy Gift Brick Program Announced
Montessori Private Academy is proud to announce a special place for MPA families, friends, alums and corporate partners to commemorate our new building. Located on the MPA patio, the Patio Path is made up of over 200 mauve colored bricks. Next to the Patio Path is the Peace Circle featuring over 75, “9 x 9” bricks. Quotes from Maria Montessori will be engraved throughout the Patio Path and Peace Circle to showcase the insight of the founder of the educational system we so proudly follow.
Parents, families, alums and friends of MPA are invited to purchase a brick and engrave a special message, thank you, tribute, recognition etc. By supporting MPA's Legacy Gift Brick Program, you are contributing to the programs and enrichments our students benefit from each day. Special Events
The Artale Wine Co. was packed Saturday evening, February 27, 2010 for MPA’s Uncorked Spring Fundraiser… a wine tasting featuring an MPA student art sale. Thank you so much to the 120 people who sipped wine, took chances on a great raffle and purchased their children’s beautiful artwork. The event raised $4,400 for MPA!
Annual Fund The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of fundraising at MPA and has a direct impact on improving the school and meeting our educational mission. We seek 100% participation from our school community: every family, staff and Board member is asked to participate. Participation is very important. Your donation affirms that our school is firmly supported by those who are closest to the mission. Your support makes it possible for us to speak with confidence to other prospective friends about our programs and people. Every gift or pledge, no matter how small or how large is valued and sincerely apprecitated. All gifts are fully tax deductible. Click, Clip & Shop- Every Penny Counts! There are many programs that support not-for-profit organizations, like MPA! They require little or no extra effort or expenditures by participants!
