Montessori Parent & Child

Montessori Parent & Child is a unique learning experience for you and your infant or toddler!  MPC is for children 12—36 months. Montessori Private Academy’s classes differ from “playgroups” and other parent and child classes in many ways.

Our programs help parents and caregivers learn how to nurture and encourage children toward independence. Within the carefully prepared Montessori environment, your child will join activities and use special Montessori materials designed to engage him physically, intellectually and socially. The prepared classroom environment is safe, cheerful and inviting. It is the perfect setting for parents to observe their children “in action” as they begin developing independence and social awareness.

MPC sessions are offered year-round.  Parent education is a significant and ongoing part of the program. Each semester begins with an orientation class to discuss the role of parent or caregiver in the classroom and how the Montessori method helps young children increase their sense of autonomy through social and learning experiences.

Our Spring 2010 Session is 11 weeks and classes are offered Thursday and Friday mornings, beginning Jan 21 & 22.  The semester tuition is $250.    Click here for more information and an application form.
