Practical Life
Skills to be independent, like zipping, buttoning and
pouring; care of the classroom, food preparation, grace and courtesy, and fine
motor development.
Sensorial
Skills to extend and refine learning using the five senses.
Language
Phonics
based skills in speaking, listening, vocabulary building, writing and reading.
Mathematics
Number concepts in daily life, quantity-numeral relation, math reasoning and
basic operations.
Cultural
Exploring the world around
us through history, geography and science.
Art
Creative drawing, artist appreciation.
Music
Musical concepts are learned by making and listening to music,
using movement and dramatic play.
Physical Education and free play
Daily outdoor or indoor activities in
stretching, running, climbing, games and general fitness.
Foreign Language
Spanish
language is offered as an option to full day students starting at age 4. Naming,
counting, greetings and colors are introduced through conversation, written
work and Montessori Spanish language materials. |
